REV. ERIC ANTHONY BROWN

The Reverend Eric Anthony Brown was born in Garland, Texas. He is a graduate of Lakeview Centennial High School of Garland, Teas. He earned a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree with a specialization in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston University in Huntsville, Texas.

Reverend Brown has served in several different areas of ministry. He started his career in church music as a drummer at Brown’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church of Garland, Texas under the leadership of his father, The Reverend Dr. William E. Brown and later he served in the music ministry as a drummer at Grace of God Missionary Baptist Church of Dallas, Texas. While in college he served as the drummer at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Huntsville, Texas. Following graduation from college he served as a musician at the Living Faith Community Church of Rowlett, Texas. Rev. Brown served as the Minister of Music and as part of the ministerial staff at Greater Rock of Ages Missionary Baptist Church of Dallas, Texas for several years. He currently serves as on of the ministers on staff as well as Director of Worship and Fine Arts at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Forney, Texas under the leadership of senior pastor, Rev. Robert McElroy.

Accepting his calling into ministry in 2006, Rev. Eric Brown is an innovative speaker who has used creative, inspirational, theological sound sermons to spread the Word of God to God’s people. Congregations are blessed by his unique way of intertwining different theatrical, exciting and motivational methods into his sermon presentations.

The Greater Rock church family has been blessed by his faithful serves in ministry as the youth director, Sunday School lesson reviewer, Vacation Bible School youth teacher and program director. Additionally, Rev. Brown has worked faithfully with the senior pastor to coordinate the Vision Plan for the church. The youth are especially blessed as he provides peer guidance and open and honest Godly counsel.

A resident of Garland, Texas, Rev. Eric Brown is married to Anessia and they are the proud parents of Britnay and Brandon.
